Become a Champion

Be at the forefront of our movement to end mental health stigma and discrimination.

Become a Time to Change Wales Champion

Thank you so much for your patience with us whilst we have navigated this challenging past year and the suspension of our training to become a Time to Change Wales Champion. Whilst we still cannot meet face-to-face, we have refined our training so that we can begin to deliver it virtually, via Zoom.

Time to Change Wales Champions are volunteers with experience of mental health problems who are at the heart of our campaign, challenging stigma in their own communities, campaigning in the media and sharing their stories.

Our Champions:

  • Receive training and support to share your story;
  • Share their story with employers, community groups, schools, universities and youth groups;
  • Help out at events and get involved with community projects;
  • Write blogs for our website;
  • Play a part in our upcoming social media campaigns and help shape what we do next;
  • Are 18 and above;

Some Champions also volunteer at our offices, contribute to press and media stories or help the campaign online.

If you’ve got other ideas or ways you’d like to help with our campaign, we’d love to hear them.

If you would like to attend our virtual training, please let us know by emailing info@timetochangewales.org.uk. We will have space for 12 attendees for each set of dates - of which you will need to commit to attending both sessions - so early booking is advised.
