International Men's Day 2016

We are looking to raise awareness this year for International Men’s Day on Friday, 18th November 2016 between 12pm and 5pm.

Advice and support services such as Healthy Homes, Victim Support, gambling support and a variety of men’s health services (bowel / AAA screening, sight loss, sexual health, male suicide, mental wellbeing etc.) will be on hand within Abergavenny Library throughout the day.

This year the focus for the national campaign is men & boy's health, improving gender relations, promoting gender equality, and highlighting positive male role models. Our aim is to:
• Promote men’s health awareness and provision in our local communities via the hub’s, town centre etc.
• Provide information to young people in our secondary schools
• Share local stories and images of inspirational men/boys on social media
