1. I’ve written a blog for Time to Change Wales and it’s listed in the Personal Stories section of the website. What will happen to it when the programme closes?
The Personal Stories section of the website will be decommissioned on the 31 March 2025. This is due to data protection and data governance reasons which don’t allow us to keep hold of information including personal details longer than the programme’s funding period. We realise this will be disappointing for many of you as we acknowledge that a lot of time and effort has gone into writing these blogs. If you wish to download your blog and repurpose it elsewhere, please do so before the 31 March.
2. I’ve recorded a podcast episode with Time to Change Wales which has been published. What will happen to this podcast once the programme ends?
We will continue to host the podcast episodes for 12 months after programme closure. If you have recorded an episode with us we will be contacting you directly to ask for your consent to keep hosting your episode for another 12 months. After 12 months the podcast will be removed.
3. What will happen to Time to Change Wales’ social media accounts?
We will be closing down our social media accounts on 31 March 2025. This is due to the channels no longer serving their original intended purposes. Our host organisations will continue the dialogue about anti-stigma work on their channels. Links to our social channels can be found below.
4. What other opportunities are there for me to use my lived experience?
We will contact you with details of all the opportunities available to you to share your lived experience across Adferiad and Mind Cymru. Due to data protection and data transfer reasons, we are unable to pass on your details to either host organisation on your behalf. You will need to opt in to any opportunities shared with you using the links and details provided for each opportunity. You can continue to support mental health awareness days such as Mental Health Awareness Week, World Mental Health Day and Time to Talk Day.
5. Does the end of Time to Change Wales mean the end of Time to Talk Day?
No, the end of Time to Change Wales does not automatically mean the end of Time to Talk Day. Time to Talk Day is run separately by other national partners, not solely by Time to Change Wales. You can continue to support it, along with other mental health awareness days like Mental Health Awareness Week and World Mental Health Day.
6. What will happen to my personal details saved by the Time to Change Wales team?
All personal data relating to Champions will be destroyed and deleted on 31 March. This is due to the Data Protection law which does not permit us to keep or transfer your data to our host organisations. We will provide a list of opportunities to which you can opt-in and share your personal details with Adferiad and/or Mind Cymru should you wish to.
7. What happens to any Tempo time credits I am yet to claim?
All volunteer hours recorded up until the closure will be acknowledged. We would encourage you to use up any credits before 31 March. You will still be able to access your account after 31 March March but no new credits will be added from Time to Change Wales after this date.
8. Will there be any future volunteer opportunities with your organisations?
While the current Time to Change Wales programme is drawing to a close, we will be sending all Champions information about opportunities to get involved in Adferiad and Mind Cymru’s work. Please also follow Adferiad and Mind/Mind Cymru’s social media channels for updates.
9. Can I get a reference or recommendation for my volunteer work?
Yes, we would be happy to do this for any of our Champions. We can provide character references or letters of recommendation for your time spent with us. Please contact us before 31 March 2025 to request this.
10. How can I stay involved with your host organisations after the programme ends?
We will provide Champions with specific information on other ways you can stay involved and use your lived experience. Please also stay connected with our host organisations website and social media platforms:
Adferiad - Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn
Mind Cymru - Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
Mind - Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, BlueSky
11. Will there be any follow-up surveys or the opportunity to capture Champion feedback on the programme?
Yes, we value your input and we plan to create opportunities for Champions to feed back on their experiences with the Time to Change Wales campaign before the end of March. This anonymised data will be used as lessons learned by our host organisations to consider for any future anti-stigma work. We’d really appreciate your support with this.
