The Mental Health Directorate are having an event at Royal Glamorgan Hospital to celebrate World Mental Health Day on October 10'th.
The theme of the day is Mental Health Stigma and the Road to Recovery. The aim is to invite patients, members of the public and our work collegues to expand their knowledge about mental health issues and to sign post individuals to services working towards recovery.
We are celebrating the day with;
Stalls displaying information about inpatient community and old age services both statatory and voluntary.
There is a strong emphasis on stigma and what people can do to influence change in themselves and others.
We also have the opening of an Arts Exhibition in the restaurant, using the art work of service users and patient stories.
Ther's also a free cuppa, can't promise pens though.
